What we collect

When you use PinCity, we collect:

• Account information (email, username, profile photo)
• Places you save, rate, and visit
• Photos you upload
• Your location (only when you use "near me" features, and only with your permission)
• Content you share to PinCity from other apps
• App events used to measure advertising (installs, sign-ups, saves, and in-app purchases), including a device advertising identifier only if you allow tracking

How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Show your saved places, ratings, and visits
• Connect you with friends and show their activity
• Display places near your location
• Extract place information from screenshots and audio using AI
• Improve the app experience

What we share

We do not sell your data. We share data with:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider
• OpenAI — to process screenshots and audio for place extraction (images and audio are processed and not stored by OpenAI)
• Google — to look up place details when you search
• Your friends on PinCity — they can see your saved places, ratings, and visits
• AI assistants you connect — if you add PinCity as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok, that provider can read and change your PinCity data (saves, Circles, visits, imports) on your behalf until you disconnect the connector. See Connect PinCity to AI.
• Meta — to measure whether Facebook and Instagram ads helped you find PinCity. If you allow tracking, this may include your device’s advertising identifier. If you decline, measurement uses Apple’s and Meta’s privacy-preserving aggregated methods instead. We do not sell your data.

Your controls

You can:

• Delete your account and all associated data at any time
• Revoke location permissions in your device settings
• Allow or decline App Tracking in iOS Settings
• Remove friends to stop sharing activity
